We are pleased to inform that the Assam State Chapter of ASI conducted a Live Onco-Surgery Workshop in Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College & Hospital, Barpeta, Assam on 22nd March 2025. 3 nos.of Senior Surgical Oncologist of Assam- Dr. Jadunath Buragohain, Dr. Joydeep Purkayastha and Dr. Prandeep Hazarika demonstrated live onco- surgical procedures on carcinoma stomach, carcinoma breast and Marjolin’s ulcer patients. Surgery Post Graduate trainees, Senior Residents and Faculty of Surgery attended the live workshop.
There was a very good interactive discussion regarding the indications, principles, steps and management of the possible post- operative complications of the surgical operations.
