Most humbly I extend whole hearted gratitude to all esteemed members for giving me love and support to serve this august organization. Assam state Chapter of the Association of surgeons of India is the largest of all in NE India in terms membership strength. The socio-academic activities of our chapter have been a great success over the years.

The Assam State Chapter of ASI has been the corner stone of surgical academic activities in the state. Our efforts will be to disseminate surgical knowledge and skill amongst younger members and instil a sense of social responsibility while safe guarding interest of fellow surgeons. The active participations of all our branches from every nook and corners of Assam will be of immense help in this regard. Improvement of scientific materials in all our programs, encouragement of younger generation to take up research activities and its publication will impact meaningful growth of our association.

We appeal to our senior members to kindly make their presence felt during activities of various branches to get the benefit of your mature thinking and inspire the younger surgeons in improvement of their all-out preferences.

We have planned exciting academic and social events for the year 2024. With all your co-operation the website will be made dynamic one and all efforts will be placed together to make our journal an indexed one.
