For Students of General Surgery & Surgical Oncology

A focused Hands-On Training Programme on Open Surgical Staplers was conducted with tremendous enthusiasm and participation, aimed at empowering postgraduate trainees and young surgeons with practical, high-yield operative skills.
This academic initiative was held in association with the Guwahati Branch of the Assam State Chapter of the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI) and the Indian Association of Surgical Oncology (IASO), and was organised by ONCOCARE Trust as part of its ongoing commitment to high-quality surgical education in the region.
The workshop featured immersive, technique-oriented sessions covering:
- Principles of open surgical stapling
- Device mechanics and safety protocols
- Tissue-handling demonstrations
- Hands-on practice modules with supervised guidance
Participants had the privilege of learning directly from two esteemed resource persons:
