A breast cancer awareness program was successfully conducted by ASA Guwahati City Branch at Icon Academy on 20th February 2025, aiming to educate non-medical graduate students about the importance of early detection, risk factors, and preventive measures for breast cancer.
The session featured an interactive lecture covering key aspects such as breast self-examination (BSE), clinical screenings, lifestyle modifications, and the role of early diagnosis in improving survival rates. Visual aids and real-life case discussions helped simplify medical concepts for the audience.
A key highlight was the live demonstration of breast self-examination techniques, encouraging participants to adopt this life-saving practice. The event also included a Q&A session where students actively engaged with experts, addressing myths and concerns related to breast cancer.
The speakers were Dr Jodunath Buragohain, Dr Krishnali Hazarika and Dr Kangkana Barman.
It was attended by Dr Kanakeswar Bhuyan, Chairperson, Dr Rocket Chandra Brahma, Vice Chairperson, Dr Rupnayan Goswami, Vice Chairperson. We are thankful to Dipanju Bora, Proprietors of Icon Group of Institutions for collaborating.
